To transfer files via a web server, rather than email, or to upload your web pages
to a web server, you may be able to use your internet explorer. It has a built-in
file transfer function that is quite simple to implement. To start the transfer
process, enter the following address in Internet Explorer in the following format:
ftp://yourusername@yoursevername.net
for example:
ftp://johndoe@ftp.netonecom.net
Enter your password when prompted (in the
case of NetOne, it is the same as your regular password).
At that point, you will be able to drag and
drop the files you wish to transfer directly into Internet explorer and they will be
depostited on the server. If you wish to transfer large files, this method is
preferrable because many email servers will reject such large files, but most web servers
